2010 Update

Mission 18:16 has had such a great year so far for 2010. We split up the children's bible study according to the ages of the children at Westwood. Ages 7 and under are in a separate class than those in the 8 and above class. We've seen some growth in the children spiritually and seen about 2 kids from these outreach bible studies get baptized. So the seeds that we are planting in these children are growing and you can tell. Just keep praying for these kids and their families.

Also we have stopped doing Thursday night bible study at Southview. We take the kids to church, Oak Park Church, to Thursday Night Live to be with other kids. They seem to be enjoying it and are learning lots.

Update for 2009

After we finished up our Armor of God theme we dug right into the Fruits of the Spirit. At the end of our study we created a real fruit basket for our Mission 18:16 kids and they took it home during the Thanksgiving week.

Then after the Thanksgiving break, we dug into the Word and learned about the coming of Jesus and Jesus's birth before Christmas.

Now we are on Gentleness of the Fruits of the Spirit. The actual fruit is blueberry.

More Updates!

October 14th and the Fruit of the Spirit Long-Suffering was taught. The fruit of that spirit was the Banana.

October 15th and we went over Long Suffering and Love (catch up from the first week).

More Bible Study Updates.

This was October 7th and the Fruit of the Spirit was Peace. The fruit of Peace was Grapes.

This was October 8th and the Fruit of the Spirit that was taught was on Peace. The fruit for that week was Grapes.

Bible Study Updates

I'm giving long over due bible study updates. Right now we are studying the Fruits of the Spirit. We've already went through Love, Joy, Peace, Long-suffering, and Gentleness.

This was from September 23 and the Fruit of the Spirit is Love and the actual fruit was a Strawberry.

This was September 30th and this was the day we discussed Joy. The fruit was a watermelon.
